Windows, lots of windows!

We live in a house that is over four thousand square feet with windows that go from floor to ceiling in over 85% of it, so it is essential to know how to clean them. I will be honest; these are not your typical Bella windows, nope these windows are over 175 years old, with natural wavy panes and pass more air through them than a handheld fan.

Now, I am sure you’re asking yourself, why don’t they hire someone to clean all those windows? Well, it is because these windows need to be cleaned with a gentle hand but with a cleaner that packs a punch. And besides, I make my window cleaning solution as it is rather easy, and I always have the essentials on hand as I am sure you do as well.

As we all know, vinegar is a powerful cleaner and rubbing alcohol dries quickly, and together with a little water, a few drops of your favorite essential oil makes a beautiful natural streak-free window cleaner. Now get a pen and write this down as I am sure once you try it, it will be your go-to window cleaner.

What you will need:

1.5 cups of water, 1.5 tablespoons white vinegar, 1.5 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol, three drops of your favorite essential oil, a glass spray bottle with a mist nozzle, and a funnel.

Directions:

Using a funnel, pour the ingredients into a glass water bottle with a mist nozzle “because” if you spray too much, you will spend more time wiping off excess rather than cleaning, and who wants that?

So now that you have your all-natural window cleaner, you’re all set to start cleaning your windows. Oh-but wait, I want to give you just one more tip if you want it? I use coffee filters to wipe the windows! Why? Well, because they are more durable than a paper towel and they do not leave any lint behind.

I have been using this solution for as long as I can remember, and I hope that you will give it a try too. And by chance that you do, please let me know what you think?
